Beach Bags and other Beach Day Essentials

A day at the beach is always full of fun and play and a good time with friends and family or a good time to spend alone soaking up the scenery or reading a good book. Whatever reason you go the beach for it’s definitely more relaxing when you have all your beach day essentials with you. Below are some of the beach day essential to take with you on your beach day.

Beach Bags: Speaking of a beach day a beach bag is definitely on the top three items you need to take with you. Beach bags just might be the grandfather of beach essentials because they help you pack all your other beach day items to and from the beach. The best beach bags are the right size and are easy to carry, durable and fashionable to add flair to your entire beach look.

Swimsuits: Swimsuits come in first place. If you want to take a nice swim in the ocean or sunbath then you are going to need a swimsuit. It’s a good idea to have at least two or three favorite swimsuits so you can go to the beach two days in a row and not have to worry about it. When buying swimsuits buy the ones that you’re most comfortable in. Summer is a time to get out of your comfort zone so if you are used to two piece swimsuits you can try out some fun one-piece bikinis and the other way around. Let your confidence shine through as your heart to the pool this summer and don’t forget to smile.

Swimsuit Cover-ups: Swimsuit cover-ups are one of those items that you might easily forget so it’s a good idea to keep them beside our swimsuits. After taking a dip you might want to just cover-up a little but nor put on your clothes and that’s where the swimsuit cover-up comes in handy. Cover-ups are also a way to elevate your beach look and protect you from the sun. There are lots of options for cover-ups you can get, lace cover-ups, see-throughs, t-shirt styles and even those that could pass as a dress. A simple pashmina scarf could also be used as a cover-up.

Sunglasses: Sunglasses can be used all year round but they come in very handy in the summer. When shopping for sunglasses be sure to get the ones that have ultraviolet (UV) protection from the sun. Sunglass can elevate your beach look. They are great for lounging and even necessary for driving when it’s very sunny. You can get cheap ones or you can invest in a good pair of sunglasses if you so desire. Either way, you are going to look fabulous.

White Shirt: It’s hard to find any other clothing item more classic than the classic white dress shirt because of how multifaceted they are. If you are like me who gets overwhelmed sometimes on choosing what to wear then throwing on a white t-shirt on a pair of shorts can serve as the perfect beach outfit. With an instant ability to make you look sharp, these versatile stunners go with everything from short shorts to short skirts, to cut off denim and beyond. Well just do your research and find something that works best for your body type. The white T-shirt is a wardrobe staple and can be worn for a variety of events and seasons. No wonder, then, that along with jeans, the classic white tee remains a key element of the quintessential casual-cool uniform: Its very plainness, after all, leaves room for self-invention. It can be dressed up with a blazer or pencil skirt and it can be dressed down in jean shorts and sneakers.

Sunscreen: Speaking of UVA rays and the sun, it is very important to put on sunscreen all year round but even more important in the summer. Especially if you plan to spend a lot of time in the sun you have to plan for sunscreen. Sunscreen is vital in helping prevent cancer as it protects you from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays. Overexposure to the sun can cause sunburn, skin cancer, wrinkling of the skin and a ton of other conditions that can be prevented by putting on sunscreen. For best results, you should apply sunscreen approximately 30 minutes before you go out in the sun so it can be absorbed by your skin and hence less susceptible to being washed off by your sweat. Always reapply sunscreen after you go swimming or take a dip in the pool or after exercising. Wear hats and protective clothing (like cover-ups) if you’re going to be in the sun for long. Also, not many people think about putting on waterproof makeup when going to the beach but it should be at the top of your list. If you intend to go in the water or play in the ocean and you also intend to wear makeup, then you best make sure they are waterproof or it’s going to wash off or worse still make you look like a panda with washed down mascara and eyeliner.

Cropped Tops: The secret to showing midriff before the sun goes down is wearing it to the beach. Paired with a flowy skirt or a pair of shorts, they make the perfect beach outfit.

Sun Dress: A short floral dress in a light material is the perfect piece to bring with you to the beach because it’s fun, easy, breezy without much hassle involved. A dress is also great because you can wear it over your swimsuit. So you can transition from drinks at a fancy bar to the beach with just removing one item. When finding your perfect dress remember to look for something with a fun pattern in a brighter color.

Beach Hats: A beach Hat is an essential for sun protection. Make sure to wear one that coordinates with your dress and outfits. A straw hat goes with everything from a bathing suit to dressy outfits and gives you that Caribbean vibe. You can also pair it with accessories and wedges to finish off the look.
